One late addition to the mini book tour that Jeff Wasserstrom and I have put together to spread the word about the second edition of China in the 21st Century: What Everyone Needs to Know: on Friday, March 14 (so, tomorrow), we’ll be at the University of Nottingham’s campus in Ningbo, China. Our talk on “China’s Past, China’s Present: Historical Perspectives on Recent Events” will begin at 2pm.
One of the things that we’re doing in these talks is road-testing some material that we’ve begun discussing for the third edition of the book, which we’ll be writing in 2015. So far, my favorite part of the presentation involves this photo:
The human chipmunk is Li Xiaolin, a business executive and member of the National People’s Congress who has excellent taste in outerwear. For more, come hear Jeff and me speak in Shanghai (today!), Ningbo, or Beijing.
