Next Thursday (March 13), Jeff Wasserstrom and I will be speaking at lunchtime event hosted by the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Shanghai. In “History in the Headlines: How Does China’s Past Inform the Present?”, we’ll be putting current events in a long-term perspective, which is something that both of us do in our respective writing careers, as well as in China in the 21st Century: What Everyone Needs to Know. Full event details are over at the Shanghai FCC website, where you can also order tickets.
We’ll be doing a similar event at the Beijing branch of the FCC on Wednesday, March 19, but details are still being finalized. I’ll post a link when it’s up at the club’s page.
