Weekly Wanderings: December 22, 2024

In lieu of musings and reading recommendations, this week I’m sharing photos from an August 2021 visit I made to the house from A Christmas Story in Cleveland, Ohio. Open for tours (you can also stay the night!), the house is dressed for Christmas year-round and features all the iconic props from the movie—including, of course, a leg lamp in the front window.

    I recently found you out, and started to subscribe, as you clearly see. I have read your articles.

    I see you are in Ann Arbor. I worked on my PhD with Ken Lieberthal and Mike Okseberg about 30 years ago. I left the program, ultimately got an MS., and ended up in international banking. As you can see, I’m still quite interested in China, and I like your newsletter.
